Chuck Hayes scored 22 points and Erik Daniels added 19 as Kentucky used a second-half surge to run away from Indiana 80-41 today at the RCA Dome.
The Hoosiers trailed only 32-26 at the half, but Kentucky (6-0) scored the first nine points of the second half and never looked back.
Bracey Wright led Indiana (4-4) with 23 points and Sean Kline added 15, but they got no support as no other player scored more than two points.
Kentucky (No. 1 in USA Today/ESPN and No. 2 in AP) dominated the frontcourt and took advantage of its height and quickness to thoroughly dominate the Hoosiers in the second half. The Wildcats shot 54 percent from the field while holding the Hoosiers to just 24 percent.
